Back in action
Nottingham Forest beat Premier League Wolves 2-0 in a friendly as they build-up towards the season restarting.
The Championship campaign will get back underway on June 20, after being suspended since March due to the coronavirus crisis.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side will make the trip to face Sheffield Wednesday on that day, and continued their preparations today with a match against Wanderers.
As with league games, the meeting between the two teams took place behind closed doors at Molineux, without any media present - and no mention has officially been made of it by either club.
Framework decided
Nottingham Forest’s final league position - and promotion hopes - would be determined by an unweighted points-per-game system, if the Championship season has to be curtailed.
The model was the one set out by the English Football League's board - and the league said it was "overwhelmingly agreed" to adopt it into the competition's regulations at a meeting earlier today.
Clubs also voted to retain promotion, relegation and the play-offs, if their campaigns cannot be finished.
The second tier is set to play on, with games restarting on June 20 and the Reds making the trip to face Sheffield Wednesday that day.

Transfer talk
Port Vale striker Tom Pope does not see a reason see why Nottingham Forest youngster Jake Taylor could not return to Vale Park next season.
Sabri Lamouchi is understood to be keen to allow Taylor pre-season to impress him at the City Ground before making a decision on his future - but Vale are keen to land another year of his services.
Taylor has been in fine form for John Askey's side this term, scoring seven goals from midfield in his breakthrough professional season.
It is understood that Vale have made their desire to re-sign the 21-year-old known, but Forest believe he could have a big future ahead of him on Trentside.
Positive test
Stoke City’s preparations for the resumption of the Championship campaign have been hit by the news boss Michael O’Neill has tested positive for coronavirus.
Nottingham Forest’s divisional rivals confirmed the news in a statement, after the Potters reportedly had to call off a planned friendly against Manchester United today.
The second tier season is due to restart on June 20, and the Reds are set to play the Potters at the City Ground on the final day, on Wednesday, July 22.
A statement from Stoke said: “Stoke City can confirm that manager Michael O'Neill has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus following the latest round of testing on Monday (June 8).
