Nottingham Forest seal another signing with arrival of teenage midfielder

Nottingham Forest have continued their summer signing spree by recruiting attacking midfielder Ateef Konate.

The teenager arrives from French Second Division side Le Havre and will go straight into the club's under-23s set-up.

Konate was born in France but is eligible to play for Mali and made his senior debut for Le Havre in last season’s French Cup.

The youngster arrives at the City Ground with a burgeoning reputation and was selected for a three-day training camp for the French under-17s side three years ago.

He will join Forest's academy which has incredible history of producing talent which has seen the likes of Matty Cash, now at Aston Villa, Ryan Yates and Jordan Gabriel all go on to play for the first team.

The under-23s side got their Professional Development campaign off to a perfect start on Monday when they overcame Barnsley 2-1 at the Nigel Doughty academy with Johnson and striker Will Swan both scoring.
