Nottingham Forest scouting mission revealed as transfer plan hatched

Nottingham Forest have reportedly sent scouts to watch Norwich defender Andrew Omobamidele.

Omobamidele was in action in Norwich's 2-0 home win over Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday. The 20-year-old came on five minutes from time, replacing Jacob Sorensen.

According to The Sun, Forest are looking at options to reinforce their squad and Omobamidele is understood to be a player Reds boss Steve Cooper likes.

The defender, who joined the Canaries' youth set-up at the age of 17, has already featured in 40 games for the first-team, while chipping in with two goals. He was also promoted to the Republic of Ireland's senior team in 2021.

Former Canaries boss Dean Smith, who is a fan of the defender, previously said: "He is an accomplished player. He is going to be a really big player for us."
