Nottingham Forest sanction this striker transfer decision - reports

Nottingham Forest are set to recall striker Tyler Walker, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has been on loan with League One side Lincoln City since the summer, and has impressed a level below Forest.

Walker has 16 goals in 34 appearances for the Imps since his arrival, which was initially set for a season-long loan.

But Sabri Lamouchi has been looking for back-up and added competition for number one striker Lewis Grabban, and it seems like Walker is that man.

The Telegraph report that Walker will be recalled by Lamouchi in a big blow for Lincoln, and will be training with Forest on Thursday.

Walker will hope to add goals to a Forest side firmly in the thick of a promotion race, with Tuesday night’s win over Brentford moving them third in the table and just two points off the automatic promotion spots.

The decision comes after Lincoln boss Michael Appleton said he hoped Walker would be allowed to remain at Sincil Bank for the season.

“We haven’t got much time,” Appleton told LincolnshireLive.“I’d like to think, from a courtesy point of view, that the loan lads in the building now will be here beyond Friday. If that’s the case, I’ll be delighted.”
