Chairman’s promise to Hughton

Nottingham Forest Chairman Nicholas Randall QC has promised manager Chris Hughton that he will have the final say on signings during the upcoming transfer window.

The Reds boss will look to add to his squad in the coming months as Forest look to climb up the Championship next season.

However, his performances in the 15 league appearances for the club have led to Oxford wanting to make the move permanent.

McGuane moved to Forest from Barcelona in February 2020 having previously made his way up through the Arsenal youth teams.

He is yet to make an appearance for the club and if Robinson’s latest comments are anything to come by he could now be set to leave the club on a permanent basis.

“Everyone knows how much I want him back here,” the Oxford boss told the Oxford Mail .

“He wants to be back here as well.
