Nottingham Forest's Tiago Silva has "completed" his switch to Olympiakos with Cafu set to arrive at the City Ground next week in a part exchange deal.
Reports in Greece today claim that talks over the move "ended positively" with Silva set to arrive in Athens on Friday ahead of undergoing a medical.
SPOR FM 94.6 claim that PAE's Cafu will now fly to England next week to make his switch to the Reds in what would be Forest's 13th signing this summer.
Details of the deal are yet to be confirmed, but it is expected that Forest will receive Cafu and a transfer fee for Silva who is a popular figure among supporters on Trentside.
Olympiakos, who are also owned by Reds supremo Evangelos Marinakis, moved for Silva after they closed in on the Champions League group stages and need reinforcements to help cope with their schedule.
Silva's future at Forest was under intense scrutiny after he failed to feature in any of the Reds' opening four games this season.
It fuelled talk he was heading for the exit door especially after boss Sabri Lamouchi made a plethora of midfield signings.
Silva had joined Nottingham Forest from Portuguese side CD Feirense in 2019, and quickly became a key player for the Championship side.
Last season the midfielder made 44 appearances in the league, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
