Former defender completes move
Former Nottingham Forest defender Michael Mancienne has completed a move to League One side Burton Albion until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old had a four-year spell at Forest before leaving for MLS side New England Revolution in 2018.
He has most recently been training with Lincoln City, but has now linked up with former Premier League striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Burton, who is happy to add the experience to his squad.
“He has lots of experience and has played lots of games in higher leagues,” he said.
“I’m very happy that he is signing with us.”
Midfielder provides honest assessment
Midfielder Jack Colback has given an honest assessment of what has gone wrong at Nottingham Forest this season.
The Reds are currently on a good run of form, but are still just four points clear of the Championship relegation zone.
“It’s tough. I get friends and family asking what’s going on. It’s tough to answer because it doesn’t really make sense,” Colback told NottinghamshireLive.
“With the players we’ve got, we should be doing better. Bottom line, we should be doing better.
Season defining games
Nottingham Forest have a crucial run of games coming up as they look to move further away from the Championship relegation zone.
The Reds face Bournemouth and Swansea City in their next two games before hosting Blackburn Rovers and travelling to Rotherham United before the East Midlands derby against Derby County.
And NottinghamshireLive writers believe that the next run of fixtures could define the season for Chris Hughton’s side.
