Nottingham Forest's Nicholas Ioannou on brink of exit amid Huddersfield claim

Nicholas Ioannou is on the verge of leaving Nottingham Forest just little over three months after joining the Reds.

According to Cypriot news outlet Goal, the former Manchester United defender is expected to leave the club to join Greek side Aris on loan with an option to buy if his spell is successful.

Ioannou only signed a three-year contract at the Reds in late September following a high-profile switch from APOEL where he had produced a string of stellar performances.

But he has not featured for Hughton in recent weeks with his last outing being at Luton Town where he was sent off in a 1-1 draw at the end of October.

Reports earlier this week claimed that Aris are big admirers of the Cypriot international as well as Reds striker Miguel Guerrero and are keen to add both players to the squad.

However, Goal also claim that Huddersfield are also keen on left-back Ioannou who can also play in the centre of defence.

Forest are expected to trim what is a large playing squad at the City Ground by sending players out on loan in a bid to get them valuable minutes under their belt.

What do you think about Ioannou? Should Forest allow him to leave or should they keep him?
