Nottingham Forest's Joe Worrall 'unlikely' to face punishment over foul-mouthed comment

Nottingham Forest's Joe Worrall is expected to avoid punishment from the Scottish Football Association, despite being caught on camera making a foul-mouthed comment about Celtic during his loan at Rangers.

The defender, who is on a season-long loan at Rangers, is shown in a clip which has surfaced online making a disparaging remark against their Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Worrall joined his Rangers teammates at the club’s Player of the Year awards on Sunday, having been nominated for the Young Player of the Year crown.

A video has since appeared on the internet showing him in the back of a vehicle and saying “f*** the Celtic”.

The Daily Record understand, however, the England Under-21 international is unlikely to be punished by the SFA because Aberdeen's Shay Logan went unpunished for a similar offence last year.

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

Worrall has spent this season on loan with Steven Gerrard’s side, making 31 appearances and scoring one goal.

He has potentially five more games left to play before returning to the City Ground this summer.
