Nottingham Forest's Joao Carvalho is said to be "a favourite" of Olympiacos.
The Reds' club record signing was first linked with the Greek giants, who are also owned by Evangelos Marinakis, in April.
And a fresh report by Greek media outlet SDNA claims the 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder is still on Olympiacos' list of summer targets.
"Time will tell if there is a move," it reads, with SDNA suggesting Olympiacos are waiting to find out if Carvalho will figure in Martin O'Neill's plans at the City Ground.
O'Neill dismissed speculation linking Carvalho with a summer move back in April.
“I’ve definitely had no conversations with anyone concerning him at this minute,” said the Reds manager.
“These are all things for the next few weeks.
“But he’s definitely a talented player."
