Nottingham Forest's 'fantastic' support summed up after Birmingham City update

Nottingham Forest have already sold out their entire allocation for their trip to Birmingham City on Saturday, the club has confirmed.

All 1,700 tickets have been purchased as the Reds make the trip to St Andrew's at the weekend.

The club posted on Twitter: "Our allocation of almost 1,700 for Birmingham away on Saturday has sold out. Thank you for your fantastic support."

The trip to the Blues is the second of two away trips facing Forest this week with head coach Steve Cooper's side set to face Barnsley on Wednesday before heading to Lee Bowyer's side at the weekend.

Forest also sold out their entire allocation for the trip to Oakwell on Wednesday in the hope of seeing Cooper register his first victory since taking charge at the City Ground.

And Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is backing the Reds to win 1-0.

He said: "Valerien Ismael was always going to be a tough act to follow at Barnsley, and when you take into account the players that departed the club in the summer, you felt it could be a difficult season for Markus Schopp.

"Steve Cooper's reign at Nottingham Forest began with a draw on Saturday, and a victory here could potentially lift them out of the bottom three, which would be a massive boost. I fancy them to claim an important win."
