Nottingham Forest's Arvin Appiah features in England Under-18s' Slovakia Cup final defeat to Spain

Nottingham Forest's Arvin Appiah featured for England's Under-18s as they were dealt a heartbreaking 3-2 penalty shoot-out defeat in the Slovakia Cup.

The Forest youngster, who made his senior debut for Martin O'Neill's side against Burton Albion in October, is currently on international duty with England's Under-18s squad.

They reached the final having beaten both Russia and Mexico, with a 2-2 draw with Slovakia sandwiched in-between.

The match finished 1-1 after 90 minutes, England equalising with a last-minute goal cancelling out Spain's early opener.

Appiah lined up alongside Tyreece John-Jules, Ben Cottrell and Vontae Daley-Campbell of Arsenal, with the Forest midfielder staring the clash in his ninth appearance for Neil Dewsnip's side.

He has also featured twice at England Under-19 level , the Amsterdam-born winger making seven career appearances for Forest.
