Nottingham Forest's arch-rivals Derby County loaned cash from group linked to American billionaire

Nottingham Forest's arch-rivals Derby County have taken a loan from MSD UK Holdings Limited - which is an investment group linked to American billionaire Michael Dell.

Rams owner Mel Morris has been looking for fresh investment in the Pride Park club for some time now.

US-based MSD Capital - owned by Dell - emerged as a potential investor in March, with talks said to be at an advanced stage.

Now details of a loan from recently-formed company MSD UK Holdings have been confirmed via Companies House.

The amount has not been revealed but a figure of £30million has previously been reported by the Daily Mail.

The same lender has also loaned money to Premier League club Southampton and League One side Sunderland.

Dell is the owner and founder of Dell Technologies, a company world famous for its manufacture of computers.

The Texas-based tycoon, 55, is said to be worth $31 billion, according to Forbes.
