Nottingham Forest rival Leeds United for £5m former Bristol City attacker

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Luke Freeman.

The former Bristol City attacker is attracting attention from clubs just six months after completing a move from QPR to the Premier League with Sheffield United for £5m.

Yet his game time at the Blades has been limited, leading to interest from promotion-chasing Championship clubs.

Football Insider claim that Forest are closely monitoring developments with Freeman - although the Blades are not expected to let the playmaker leave the club this month.

Leeds United are also interested, having lost Eddie Nketiah and Jack Clarke this month after the duo were both recalled from their loans.

Unless the Blades can bring in a replacement for Freeman, then they appear reluctant to let the former Robin leave the club this month.

Freeman played for the Robins for three years between 2014 and 2017, scoring 10 league goals in 105 appearances before moving to QPR due to a contract dispute.

He found form at QPR, spending two-and-a-half years at Loftus Road and consistently being linked with moves away.

Leeds have been long time admirers, dating back to his time at QPR, but now they face competition for his signature.
