Nottingham Forest ridiculously low in new global rankings that Leeds United and Derby County will like

Nottingham Forest are the 233rd best team in the world in a new rankings table.

The Reds are bizarrely placed below arch-rivals Derby County (213th) in FiveThirtyEight's latest table, despite finishing above the Rams in the Championship last season.

Sabri Lamouchi's side are also ranked a lot lower than Leeds United (52nd), who won the Championship title, promoted West Brom (104th) and Fulham (146th).

Manchester City come out on top, despite not winning the Premier League, with champions Liverpool in third place and Bayern Munich in second spot.

Rankings are decided by SPI ratings - and Forest have an SPI of 45.1.

The SPI rating is an estimate of a team’s overall strength, looking at both its defence and attack.
