Nottingham Forest reveal rearranged date for Reading game

Nottingham Forest have confirmed their re-arranged game with Reading will take place in the New Year.

The Reds’ game with the Royals had been scheduled to be played at the City Ground on Saturday, but owing to torrential rain in the East Midlands, referee Geoff Eltringham opted to call the game off shortly after lunchtime.

Forest will now host Reading on Tuesday, January 21, with that game sandwiched between a home game against Luton and away visit to Brentford – it also comes just a few days after their visit to the Madejski Stadium on January 11.

Tickets purchased for the original game will remain valid, though supporters that cannot attend the rearranged game have until 6pm on January 17 to claim their refund or have them transferred.

“Supporters are advised that all tickets issued for Saturday 26th October will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture,” Forest said in a statement.

“A replacement ticket will not be issued, so please keep hold of the original one until the new match date.

“If you are unable to attend the rescheduled fixture date, we will happily transfer your ticket to an alternative home league match or offer a full refund, if preferred.”

Supporters can claim a refund by calling the City Ground ticket office on 01159824388.
