Nottingham Forest reveal plan for transfer deadline day signing Braian Ojeda

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton says new signing Braian Ojeda will provide "valuable competition" in midfield following his arrival at the City Ground.

The 21-year-old central midfielder joined the Reds on a busy transfer deadline day for Forest.

Ojeda, who has signed a four-year deal on Trentside, joins Forest from Paraguay Primera Division side Olimpia, where he has played for most of his career.

Hughton outlined his intentions for the central midfielder, telling the official club website: "Braian is a signing who will give us valuable competition in the central midfield area.

"He has a good profile as a young player who is keen to progress in the game and is an important addition to the squad.

"I look forward to getting to work with Braian over the international break as we start to prepare for the Cardiff match."

Forest signed three new players on deadline day as Hughton looked to strengthen his squad.

In addition to Ojeda's arrival from South America, the Reds signed full-back Mohamed Drager (Olympiacos) and Xande Silva (West Ham).
