Nottingham Forest respond to fans' iFollow frustrations ahead of Sheffield Wednesday game

Nottingham Forest fans have been left frustrated on the first afternoon of football’s return since the coronavirus lockdown.

Reds fans tuning into the club’s iFollow service to watch the Reds in action at Sheffield Wednesday were unable to watch the build-up from Hillsborough.

Such was the level of frustration, the Reds responded by advising fans attempting to watch on an Apple device to switch, if possible, to a desktop computer.

Despite that advice, supporters were still struggling to access their accounts ahead of kick-off at 3pm on any device and the EFL have since admitted there is a problem affecting all clubs.

“We are aware that some #NFFC supporters with iOS devices are experiencing issues watching the live stream via the official app,” the club said.

“There appear to be no problems with the stream on desktop devices and so it may be worth trying to watch on desktop if you possibly can.”

Season card holders were sent a code prior to the game to enable to watch the match from Sheffield, while other supporters were able to pay £10 to view the game.
