Nottingham Forest reportedly see offer for Scotland defender rejected

Nottingham Forest have reportedly seen a bid of around £3m rejected for Aberdeen central defender Scott McKenna.

The 22-year-old has won 12 caps for Scotland and has been the subject of interest for the last 12 months.

Now the Daily Record say Forest and Queens Park Rangers, managed by former Reds boss Mark Warburton, have seen offers for McKenna turned down.

The outlet say Hull City are also keen having made four offers in January, while this time last year, Aston Villa and Celtic saw offers rebuffed.

Forest already have a wealth of options in the heart of defence.

Joe Worrall, Michael Dawson, Alexander Milosevic, Tobias Figueiredo and Yohan Benalouane are all hoping to be key men for Sabri Lamouchi this season.

Another experienced central defender has already been told he can leave in Michael Hefele. However, the Reds are looking to strengthen their back four this summer.
