Nottingham Forest reportedly eyeing £3m-rated Belgian striker 'with view to making a bid'

Nottingham Forest are said to be keeping a close eye on Standard Liege striker Renaud Emond - along with Championship rivals Leeds United and Premier League side Norwich City.

A forward is sure to be at the top of Reds head coach Sabri Lamouchi’s shopping list for January, as he looks to add more firepower to his squad.

Forest have already been linked with a number of front men ahead of the winter window, and the Irish Sun report they are also interested in Belgian Emond.

They claim the Reds have “been watching Emond with the view to making a bid”, while Leeds have also shown an interest and Norwich have him on their radar, too.

The 28-year-old, who wears the captain’s armband, has netted seven goals in 18 appearances for his club so far this season, helping them to third in the Belgian top-flight table.

He made the move to Liege in 2015, having previously played for Waasland-Beveren.

The report adds: “His form has caught the eye of clubs across Europe and Liege now fear they will have no choice but to let him leave if an offer of around £3m comes in for him next month.”
