Nottingham Forest release important season ticket update amid coronavirus disruption

Nottingham Forest have extended the deadline for supporters to submit their applications for season card renewals for the 2020/21 season.

The Reds have decided to extend the deadline amid the current disruption caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The EFL board hosted an emergency meeting on Friday, and decided that all professional football in England will be suspended until April 3, at the earliest.

Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis was diagnosed with the illness last week, and was in attendance for Forest’s Championship clash against Millwall at the City Ground, with all the players and staff since being tested for the virus and the results coming back negative.

The original deadline for season card renewals was today (March 16), but the club have announced that fans now have until this Friday (March 20) to submit their requests for next season.

The first renewal period is open to current season card holders in the Trent End, Brian Clough Stand and Bridgford Stand.

Renewals for The Peter Taylor Stand are on hold, which was confirmed last month to be because the club still await response to the planning application for the redevelopment which is due to begin this summer.

Planning permission for the work has been formally lodged with Rushcliffe Borough Council, with hopes that once plans are granted, phase one of the £100m project begin which will see the stadium capacity raised to around 38,000.
