Nottingham Forest receive major injury boost ahead of Fulham

Moussa Niakhate has returned to the training field ahead of Nottingham Forest's clash with Fulham this Saturday.

The 26-year-old has been out of action since August after suffering an injury in only his second appearance for the club.

Last week, head coach Steve Cooper confirmed that the centre-back was in the final stages of rehab. "They are still at the latter stages of rehab," Cooper said of Niakhate and Omar Richards.

"They are definitely working hard at that final stage, which is out on the grass, kicking balls and following some really strong drills. They shouldn't be too far."

In a post shared by Forest of Niakhate on Twitter this evening (Wednesday), it read: "Moussa is back on the grass".

However, it is uncertain whether the Senegal international will make the Reds' squad ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage.

How much of a boost is this for Forest? Let us know in the comments section...
