Nottingham Forest podcast is one of the best in the country

Come on you Reds! A podcast dedicated to everything Nottingham Forest has triumphed over hundreds of other shows to be shorlisted for a gong at the Football Blogging Awards 2019.

More than 144,000 nominations and over 2,000 different blogs, podcasts, YouTubers, influencers and vloggers were put forward but Reservoir Red Dogs were one of only 15 podcasts to make the final cut.

Finalists were chosen using the nominations of football fans from around the world as well as the decision of the event judges and organisers. The list also includes two Forest vloggers - Match Day With Max, run by teenage Forest fan Max Hayes, shortlisted for Best Young Content Creator and Dore on Tour, for Best New Content Creator.

Nottingham Forest director Jonny Owen, who presents the podcast alongside comedian/presenter Matt Forde and former player Paul McGregor, says the club was over the moon to hear the show had made the finals.

He said: "We’re delighted to be shortlisted for one of the most prestigious podcast awards. Not only is it great fun to do but we’re building an archive of legendary players for future generations so that they can hear what it was like to play for this magnificent football club. It really is a pleasure and an honour to be able to do it."

It's now down to the public to vote for the winners which will be revealed at the Football Blogging Awards ceremony at Manchester City's stadium, The Etihad, on May 9.

Voting will close at 11.59pm on Sunday, April 21. To have your say visit footballbloggingawards.co.uk.
