'Won't feel a tinge of regret' - Nottingham Forest player ratings against Arsenal

Nottingham Forest's Carabao Cup third round tie at Arsenal ended in defeat after the Reds were

Here, we rate each of the Forest's players' performances against the Premier League side.

Aro Muric: No chance with the goals. Made one good save and flapped at one cross. You're yet to feel as comfortable with him in goal as Brice Samba. 6

Matty Cash: Had a really tough time up against Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka, meaning he was unable to get forwards. 5

Tobias Figueiredo: Lost his man for the second goal and with that, it was game over. Tough ask to come into the side against such talent. 5

Chema Rodriguez: Was the man organising the defence in the middle, a challenge on debut. He showed he has the potential to be a good signing, but won't dislodge Joe Worrall or Michael Dawson just yet. 5

Jack Robinson: The captain for the night did pretty well playing as a centre-back with Arsenal swarming all over Forest and created plenty of chances. Lucky to stay on for a terrible late tackle. 5

Brennan Johnson: A great education for the teenager, who worked hard but was unable to impact the game too much in possession. 6

Tiago Silva: Got on the ball as much as possible and put himself about playing as Forest's deepest midfielder a lot of the time. 6

Joao Carvalho: Had a couple of good moments in the first half but was withdrawn after an hour, perhaps as part of a pre-game plan given his recent return to fitness. 6

Yuri Ribeiro: Forest's best player on the night. Ribeiro was the most positive attacking threat, especially in the first half as he got forwards down the left. Perhaps the one player who won't feel a tinge of regret. 7

Joe Lolley: Unable to influence the game from the right wing particularly and hobbled off with 10 minutes to go. 5

Albert Adomah: Isolated as the lone striker, but had chances to do more with the ball on the break. 5

Subs:

Ameobi for Carvalho (59): Made little impact as a striker, but did have Forest's only shot on target. 5

Mighten for Ribeiro (78): Little chance to make an impact for the England Under-19 winger. 5

Gabriel for Lolley (81): A debut for the young right-back who put one good tackle in. 5
