Nottingham Forest offered Premier League player as part of swap deal - report

Nottingham Forest could be offered Burnley defender Ben Gibson as part of a swap deal for Joe Worrall, according to reports.

The Clarets have been linked with a summer swoop for Worrall, along with fellow Premier League club Sheffield United.

Now The Sun is reporting that Burnley would be willing to include Gibson in a deal to land the Forest centre-back.

However, the article adds that Worrall is seeking assurances that he will get first-team football at Turf Moor.

Burnley have enjoyed success with current centre-back pairing James Tarkowski and Ben Mee.

Gibson has been unable to force his way into Sean Dyche's regular plans since his £15million move from Middlesbrough in 2018.

The 27-year-old has only made six senior appearances for the Lancashire club and his only outing in 2019-20 came in the EFL Cup.
