Nottingham Forest included French-born defender Quentin Vieira in their squad, as they headed into their second friendly of the summer, in the blazing sunshine at the Pinatar Arena.
The 20-year-old defender arrived at the Reds’ training camp in Alicante this morning and was included within a big squad for the game against Dundee.
Head coach Sabri Lamouchi named a 25-man squad, which also included Alex Milosevic, after he returned from international duty with Sweden.
The starting line-up included Sammy Ameobi, who did well after coming off the bench in the second half at Alfreton last weekend, setting up the winning goal for Karim Ansarifard.
But the one name that will have attracted most intrigue outside the starting XI will have been that of Vieira, who has just left Lyon.
Vieira, who can play as a central defender or a left back, is believed to be a free agent, following four years with the French club.
He clearly did enough while playing with their under-19 side and second XI to impress Frenchman Lamouchi, who will take the chance to assess the player in the coming days.
