Nottingham Forest midfielder ready for 'big week' to decide play-off fate

Midfielder John Bostock has called for Nottingham Forest to stick together as they aim to avoid any final day drama.

A point against Stoke City, in the season’s last round of fixtures on Wednesday night, would see the Reds into the play-offs.

They missed the chance to guarantee their place at the weekend as they fell 1-0 to Barnsley on Sunday, following Patrick Schmidt’s goal right at the death.

But Sabri Lamouchi’s men have their fate in their own hands as they take on the Potters.

And posting on Twitter, Bostock said: “Big week ahead. We started this together and we will finish this together. #nffc”

The Toulouse loanee was an unused substitute at Oakwell, having made just two appearances since the Championship’s restart last month.

Forest go into the City Ground clash without a win in five, but still fifth in the table.

They are level on points with Cardiff City, in sixth, with both teams three points ahead of seventh-placed Swansea City and with better goal differences.

Head coach Lamouchi has said ahead of the match: “It’s a game for men. It’s a final. We need minimum one point. We need to play clever.

“And we will try to do it.”
