Nottingham Forest midfielder discusses impact of change in manager at City Ground

Midfielder Harry Arter has spoken about the impact of the change in manager since he signed for Nottingham Forest.

The 30-year-old was brought to the City Ground from Bournemouth by previous head coach Sabri Lamouchi.

He featured just twice for the Frenchman before the axe fell, following a miserable run of results at the start of the season.

Chris Hughton was quickly appointed as Lamouchi’s replacement and has overseen a turnaround in form, with one defeat in his seven games in charge.

Under the new boss, Arter has come off the bench three times and been in the starting XI once, being hampered by injury problems.

Currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, he is looking to catch Hughton’s eye when he does get an opportunity.

“For me personally, I signed for Forest under the last manager so for me it was a massive change, a new manager coming in so quickly,” he told the Irish Examiner.

“To be honest, he hasn’t changed too much.

“He’s quite thorough in his work and the team know where they are defensively.

“I’ve picked up a few niggles in his time which hasn’t helped.

“From a personal point of view, I’m just looking to get back into the team and get my chance really.”
