Nottingham Forest "may swoop" for Burnley defender Ben Gibson if they fail in a bid to sign Scotland international Scott McKenna, according to the Daily Record.
The Reds are said to have already failed with an offer of £3m for Aberdeen defender McKenna, and are reportedly ready to table an improved offer for the 22-year-old, who is under contract at Pittodrie until 2023.
But the Daily Record claim Gibson is also on Sabri Lamouchi's radar ahead of the transfer deadline.

Centre-back Gibson, 26, only joined Premier League Burnley for £15m last summer, but endured a difficult debut season at Turf Moor, making just one appearance in the top flight.
He has already been linked with a move this summer, with Premier League clubs Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Norwich City all said to be interested in him.
