Nottingham Forest man joins Cristiano Ronaldo in team of the season

Nottingham Forest defender Tobias Figueiredo has been named in a Portuguese team of the season.

Figueiredo features in the line-up of players from Portugal who play in Europe, compiled by Sofa Score based on their performances during the 2019-20 campaign.

The Forest centre-back is in good company, with Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo also making the list along with the likes of Bernardo Silva of Manchester City and Wolves duo Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho.

Figueiredo is given an average rating of 6.90 out of 10, which is enough to secure his place in the XI at the heart of the defence alongside Ruben Vezo of Levante.

Man City's Joao Cancelo is at right-back, with Raphael Guerreiro of Borussia Dortmund at left-back.

Figueiredo made 34 appearances for Forest in all competitions this term.

One of his three goals came in the final-day 4-1 defeat to Stoke City, which saw Sabri Lamouchi's men dramatically miss out on a Championship play-off place.
