Nottingham Forest winger Albert Adomah appears to be edging closer to the exit door at the City Ground.
Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town have been credited with an interest in the 32-year-old, who only signed for Forest from last summer from Aston Villa.
Fresh reports in Wales Online claim that the Bluebirds are closing in on Adomah’s signature.
It is also thought that the deal will be on a permanent basis rather than a loan.
Adomah has made 24 appearances for Sabri Lamouchi's side this season mostly off the substitute's bench.
He has scored twice and assisted once in the Championship, with the last of those coming at the end of August.
Lamouchi has preferred to go with fellow summer signing Sammy Ameobi, which has left Adomah having to settle for a place on the bench in most matches.
Forest have already confirmed the departures of Chema, Jack Robinson, Costel Pantilimon, Luke Steele, Rafa Mir and Claudio Yacob from the City Ground this month.
The club have added three new players to their squad during this month’s window – Adama Diakhaby on loan from Huddersfield, Nuno da Costa on a permanent deal from Strasbourg and Gaetan Bong from Brighton.
