Nottingham Forest have made an official approach for Billy Sharp and Glenn Murray, according to reports.
Sheffield United and Brighton and Hove Albion have both been approached by the Reds about the possibility of signing the pair, according to Sky Sports News.
Sharp, it was reported this morning, turned down a move to the City Ground with Celtic interested too with the former Forest striker said to be keen to stay at the Blades and regain his place at the Bramall Lane side.
Murray, meanwhile, has been linked with Forest as well as Premier League trio Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
It's been reported that Dwight Gayle's potential move to Forest could hinge on Newcastle bringing in a striker, with Murray said to be an option.
Sabri Lamouchi is thought to be keen to bring in a striker to lighten the load on Lewis Grabban as his side continue their Championship promotion chase in the second half of the season.
