Nottingham Forest make big transfer call as summer signing 'made available' for exit

Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis is reportedly in line to leave the City Ground during the January transfer window - just five months after arriving.

The 25 year-old striker moved to the City Ground in a £15million move from Watford over the summer, but has scored just once in 10 Premier League appearances. Only three of those were starts.

According to the Telegraph, Dennis has been "made available" for transfer this month with plans "in place" for him to move on before the transfer window closes on January 31.

The report also claims that Dennis is "alleged to have infuriated coaching staff for his part in the home team’s third goal" as Forest suffered a 3-0 loss to Man United six days ago.

He seemed something of an attractive signing for Forest in the summer, having scored 10 goals and assisted a further six in the Premier League for Watford last season. He was a rare bright spark in a side that were relegated to the Championship.

FIFA rules complicate a potential move, though, as Dennis has already played for both Nottingham Forest and Watford this season. Players are ordinarily prevented from playing for more than two clubs in one season, though the Telegraph say Dennis can move to a club abroad. A return to Watford could, of course, be on the cards.
