Defender Nicholas Ioannou has made a bright start at Aris Thessaloniki, after his loan move from Nottingham Forest.
The 25-year-old made the switch to the Greek club earlier this month, having fallen down the pecking order at the City Ground.
And on Saturday, he scored his first goal of the season - bagging the winner as Aris beat Apollon Smyrni, 1-0.
That was Ioannou’s third appearance, and second start, for his loan side.
He posted a picture of himself celebrating on Instagram and wrote: “Great effort from the boys, happy to get on the score sheet.”
Hughton said after the Cypriot left, he could still have a future with the Reds.
"Credit to Ioannou. He always trained really well," said the Forest manager.
"His numbers were good but I came in with four left-backs. I can't play them all.
"At this moment Yuri (Ribeiro) is in that position and I think has done well for us. It allows us to lighten the squad a bit and gives Ioannou games.
"There's a lot of numbers here so it was difficult for him to get games. He's still our player to assess for the rest of the season.
"We'll see what happens at the end of the season."
