Nottingham Forest linked with transfer move for hotshot son of controversial striker

Nottingham Forest have been linked with Pierre van Hooijdonk's son.

Sydney van Hooijdonk is banging goals in for fun for NAC Breda in the Dutch Eerste Divisie so far this season, netting eight times in 12 games.

And his goalscoring form is said to have attracted the interest of Forest and two of their Championship rivals - Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday.

The 20-year-old was linked with a departure from NAC Breda during the summer transfer window before signing a new one-year deal.

Pierre van Hooijdonk was a prolific striker for Forest after joining the Reds from Celtic, scoring 36 goals in 71 league games for the club, before it all turned sour for him at the City Ground and he infamously went on strike in order to force a move away from the club.
