Nottingham Forest linked with summer transfer for Tottenham Hotspur winger

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a summer move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke.

Boss Chris Hughton is looking to strengthen his attacking arsenal during the transfer window as he aims to challenge for a top six place next season.

And 20-year-old Clarke is said to be on the Reds’ list of targets.

The youngster has spent the second half of this term on loan at Stoke City, but is now back at his parent club after an ankle injury ended his campaign early.

Clarke came up through the academy at Leeds United, before completing a big money move to Spurs in the summer of 2019.

He returned to Leeds on loan and has also had a spell at QPR, while he made 14 appearances for the Potters.

Before joining Stoke, the youngster made his debut for Tottenham earlier in the season, coming off the bench in a Europa League victory over LASK Linz in October.

He also featured against Ludogorets and against Maine in the FA Cup before making the switch to the bet365 Stadium.

After struggling to find the back of the net and battling at the bottom end of the Championship table, Hughton will overhaul his squad this summer.

He has made recruiting players who can help his goal-shy side a priority, and Clarke is said to be among those Forest have registered an interest in taking on loan, according to The Athletic - although other clubs are also said to have done the same.
