Nottingham Forest have been linked with a summer move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.
The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the campaign, and is reportedly being monitored by several Championship clubs, including the Reds.
According to Football League World, Forest and second tier rivals Middlesbrough and Preston North End “are taking a closer look” at the shot-stopper.
Hennessey has made one appearance for Palace this term, back in September, when he was between the posts for a Carabao Cup tie against Bournemouth.
That match finished 0-0, with the Cherries going on to triumph 11-10 in a penalty shoot-out.
The Wales international has featured six times for his country this season, but has been well down the pecking order at his club.
And that means he faces an uncertain future as his deal comes to a close.
Forest currently have three senior keepers on the books, with Brice Samba firmly established as Chris Hughton’s number one.
Jordan Smith has provided back-up from the bench, while Abdoulaye Diallo has yet to make his debut after signing last summer and has been named as a substitute just once, against Norwich City last month.
Samba is under contract at the City Ground until 2023 and Smith has a deal until 2022.
Diallo penned terms for one year when he joined as a free agent, but the club do have the option to extend by a further 12 months this summer.
