Nottingham Forest linked with in-form striker as Sabri Lamouchi admits Millwall frustration

Forest's frustration

Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi admitted to being a little frustrated at coming away from Millwall with a 2-2 draw.

After falling behind in a poor first half, the Reds responded after the break to take the lead through

The front man’s second came two minutes from the end and looked set to be the winner, only for Aiden O’Brien to bag an equaliser in added time.

“There’s a bit of frustration,” said Lamouchi.

Millwall musings

It was almost a remarkable turnaround from Sabri Lamouchi’s Nottingham Forest at Millwall.

Trailing at half-time to a Shaun Williams header 15 minutes in, Forest were woeful in the first period and fortunate to go in only a goal down.

A tactical tweak at the break and the introduction of Lewis Grabban and Joe Lolley shortly thereafter changed the game in the Reds’ favour, with Grabban's first strike scoring 55 seconds after his introduction having been subjected to boos from the home supporters, before then netting what looked to be the winner in the 88th minute.

Transfer talk

Nottingham Forest and Championship rivals Leeds United have been linked with a move for striker Ibrahim Sissoko.

According to reports in the French media, the FC Chamois Niort striker has attracted the attention of the Championship pair.

Foot Mercato, via Sport Witness, say Sissoko's run of eight goals in 14 appearances in the French second division this season has alerted clubs to his availability.

Forest continue to be linked with strikers ahead of the January transfer window, with Crystal Palace's Connor Wickham and Dwight Gayle of Newcastle United said to interest Sabri Lamouchi's side.

Wickham a wanted man

Connor Wickham is a January transfer target for Bristol City.

According to BristolLive, the Crystal Palace striker - linked with Nottingham Forest yesterday - is a top target for Lee Johnson's side.

It is said Johnson wanted to sign the former Sunderland man in the summer, but finances and a desire for Wickham to try and nail down a first-team place at Selhurst Park prohibited such a move.

The Telegraph reported yesterday how Watford were interested in signing Wickham and name-checked Forest as suitors too.
