Nottingham Forest linked with a move for Norwich City target Marko Burki

Belgian Pro League club Zlute Waregem are reportedly fending off interest from a number of European clubs, including Nottingham Forest, for defender Marko Burki.

According to Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws, the Reds are one of five clubs set to do battle to land the 25-year-old this summer.

Premier League newcomers Norwich City, Italian outfit Torino and La Liga side Leganes are all reportedly in for the defender, with Leganes leading the way.

The ex-Young Boys defender, who featured for the Swiss side against Everton at Goodison Park in the Europa League three seasons ago, has been attracting plenty of interest for his performances in Belgium this year.

The report also claims that the club have slapped an 800,000 euro price tag on the 5ft11 defender's head.

Not yet capped by his native Switzerland, Burki is the brother of Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki.

This season he made 24 appearances for Waregem in all competitions.
