Nottingham Forest legend Stuart Pearce set for West Ham role

Former Nottingham Forest manager and legendary Reds player Stuart Pearce is being lined up for a role with West Ham.

According to ExWHUemployee on Twitter, a reliable source on the Iron, the former England coach will be joining boss David Moyes' backroom staff.

It is claimed that he will not be replacing anybody at the London Stadium but will assist the Hammers as they look for a strong season in the Premier League.

Moyes has been steadily putting together an excellent backroom staff at the Iron where ex-Notts County boss and Hammers player Kevin Nolan is also working for the club.

It will be the second time Pearce has linked up with David Moyes having been his assistant in three years ago.

Pearce has not managed a club since he was axed by Forest in 2015 having been unable to address a slump in form at the City Ground which saw the Reds win just three of 21 games.

But that has not diluted the love of Forest fans who still regard him as a legend particularly for his contribution as a player having made more than 400 appearances for the club, scoring 63 goals.
