Nottingham Forest legend gives brilliant response to Brian Clough question

Former Nottingham Forest player Martin O'Neill offered an amusing response when asked about his relationship with Brian Clough.

The Northern Irishman played under Clough during the most successful period in Forest's history when they won numerous trophies including famously winning back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980.

O'Neill was working as a pundit for Sky Sports on Monday night covering the Reds' 4-3 win over Southampton. The result lifted Forest out of the Premier League bottom three with just three games left.

And after seeing pictures of Morgan Gibbs-White hugging Reds boss Steve Cooper after the game, Sky Sports host Dave Jones asked O'Neill about his relationship with the famous Reds' manager.

"That relationship he's got with the manager. It's really special, isn't it? I'm sure you had it with Brian Clough, the odd cuddle or you gave a few out during your time?" He asked.

O'Neill jokingly replied: "You couldn't have picked a worse example. Seriously you could not have picked the worst example. I would not have got that in a million years."
