Nottingham Forest & Leeds United transfer target breaks silence as star makes social media decision

Reds transfer target breaks silence on rumours

Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Mbaye Diagne has cleared up confusion about an Instagram post on his official account appearing to confirm a move to the City Ground.

The Galatasaray striker posted a picture on the social media platform of him in loan side Club Brugge's kit with the Reds' logo edited onto the picture.

Curiously, the caption posted alongside the picture didn't make reference to the Forest badge, with the 28-year-old writing about his faith in God.

The picture is still on Diagne's feed, with many taking it as confirmation that the reports linking him with a move to the City Ground are true.

Joe Lolley leaves Twitter and fans are confused

Forest playmaker Joe Lolley appears to have left Twitter.

Lolley, a vocal presence on the social media website who regularly interacted with Forest fans, became known for his witticisms and brutal put-downs to his team-mates.

A search for Lolley's handle, @JLolley23, returns a '@JLolley23 does not exist' message while searches for his previous Tweets also return a similar web-page.

Lolley had become vocal about the coronavirus pandemic and last month sent out a message to people who were flouting the government's lockdown rules implemented to combat the spread of Covid-19.

Interesting update on Leeds' plans for Forest target

United plan to make a move for reported Forest transfer target Diagne soon, according to reports.

Diagne, who has been heavily linked with a move to the two Championship clubs, is back with parent club Galatasaray after a loan stint with Club Brugge.

Brugge's season has been ended because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Diagne caused considerable confusion when he posted a picture of him in action for Brugge with a Forest badge superimposed on the snap.

Club issue fresh threat to Reds' play-off hopes

Hull City have doubled down on their opposition to plans to restart the season, sending another email to the English Football League (EFL) to outline their fears, according to reports.

Championship clubs are due to return to training on Monday as the EFL look to restart the Championship and play out a campaign that has been suspended for over two months because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Forest haven't played since March 6, a 3-0 defeat to Millwall at the City Ground.

Despite that loss, Sabri Lamouchi 's side remain in fifth place and five points clear of Bristol City in seventh as they aim to secure a play-off place with nine games remaining.
