Fresh reports from Portugal claim that Sporting won't let Nottingham Forest transfer target Bruno Paz leave the club for less than £3 million.
Website Abola, via Sport Witness, claim that Forest have made their interest clear and have approached Sporting about the 22-year-old.
Paz was first linked with the Reds earlier this month with Championship rivals Reading and Brentford said to be interested in the former Belenenses man.
Now it is claimed that Forest submitted a £1.5m bid for Paz, who has also turned out for Portuguese sides Vinhense and Barreirense.
It is being reported that Forest's bid was rejected but they are still interested in Paz and are keen to get a deal done.
Brentford are yet to submit an offer and Sporting have said it is going to be hard to sell him for anything less than £3m.
Paz is on the recovery from a serious knee injury and has turned out for Sporting's reserves and Under-23 sides as he eyes a comeback.
The defensive midfielder, who can also fill in at right-back, has only made one senior outing for Sporting and that was as far back as December 2018.
He is under contract for another three years having inked an extension in February last year.
Forest have had a lot of success with foreign imports under current boss Sabri Lamouchi.
Paz's compatriots Tiago Silva and Yuri Ribeiro have been excellent this season with the Reds using the European market to their advantage.
Brice Samba and Samba Sow also came in last summer and have helped Lamouchi's side to fifth place in the Championship.
