Nottingham Forest is providing commentary for fans' back garden goals - and it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face

Football as we know it may be off for the foreseeable but Nottingham Forest are still keen to bring fans their fix of the beautiful game by providing commentary to your back garden goals.

The club has teamed up with life-long Reds fan Matt Forde to bring the county's lockdown footballing moments to life.

Kicking-off the Twitter-based fun yesterday (March 30) Forest shared a submitted clip of a little superstar striker called Joel, smashing three easy goals during a one man penalty shoot out.

The adorable 17 second video is accompanied by commentary from Nottingham's very own Sneinton-born comedian and Absolute Radio's Rock 'n' Roll Football host.

"Joel runs back to his own goal and touches the crossbar, finishes with his right. He goes back to the crossbar again and he's back, delivers with his left. It's some sort of ritual. Will it help now? Yes! Where's the goalkeeper?," the stand-up comments, referring to the wide-open goal. (Watch the full clip below).

The clip has been watched nearly 10,000 times.

The club, along with Matt, is now asking for more submissions. To take part just upload a short clip of your lockdown footballing moments onto Twitter, tagging in both @nffc and @mattforde.
