Nottingham Forest 'interested' in £26m-rated defender wanted by Juventus

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Udinese full-back Nahuel Molina.

The Reds are looking to strengthen at both right and left wing-back this summer, as they prepare for their return to the Premier League. Loanees Djed Spence and Max Lowe were key players last season as promotion was secured, but Forest have been left short of options following the pair’s return to their parent clubs.

According to Italian website Tuttosport, Molina is on their radar. But they are not the only club said to be keen.

Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid are also credited with an interest, while Barcelona have previously been linked. However, it is Juventus who seem to be front runners for his signature.

It is said their “appeal” offers “considerable weight” as Molina considers his options. And with a price tag of 30m euros (about £26m) mooted, Juventus and Udinese have reportedly begun early discussions.

Argentina international Molina impressed for Udinese last term. He signed for the Italian outfit two years ago, having come up through the ranks at Boca Juniors, in his homeland. He made his debut for the latter as a 17-year-old, back in 2016.

Forest made forward Taiwo Awoniyi their first signing of the transfer window. And goalkeeper Dean Henderson is set to become their second, on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
