Nottingham Forest are in the hunt for highly rated Forest Green Rovers defender Nathan McGinley, according to Huddersfield Examiner.
The 22-year-old made 38 appearances in League Two last season as the Gloucestershire side finished fifth in League Two.
A former Middlesbrough youth star, McGinley had loan spells with Wycombe Wanderers and Forest Green before making his move to the New Lawn permanent on January 1.
The left-back, who has also featured in central defence, has twelve months left on his current deal having initially penned an 18-month contract with Mark Cooper's side.
Forest join Huddersfield Town, Bristol City and Swansea in being linked a swoop for McGinley.
If reports are to be believed, Martin O'Neill is keen on bolstering his options at left-back.
On Monday it was reported that Swedish international Martin Olsson had been offered a contract at the City Ground .
Dutch defender Caner Cavlan was also linked but he has since completed a move to join Austria Wien.
