Nottingham Forest are said to be in talks with Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson, ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The Reds are looking to strengthen in that position following an injury to Tendayi Darikwa, and 27-year-old Jenkinson is reportedly a target, according to the Guardian.
The Sun claim the defender would be available for £5m, having featured just eight times for the Premier League giants last season.
But it is unclear whether the discussions with Forest would be over a loan or permanent move.
Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with Jenkinson this summer.
Reds head coach Sabri Lamouchi spoke of the club’s plans to look for a right-back following Saturday’s opening day defeat to the Baggies.
Darikwa faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury, leaving Matty Cash to take up the role at the weekend.

Lamouchi was full of praise for the academy graduate, who opened the scoring early on, but said cover is needed in that department.
“We are looking for another player in that position because Cashy alone is not enough,” said the Frenchman.
“We know he does not have experience in this position.”
Jenkinson has previously had two loan spells at West Ham United, as well as at Birmingham City.
He has another 12 months to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
