Nottingham Forest linked with loan move for Leeds United's Cody Drameh

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in Leeds United defender Cody Drameh.

Leeds United's injury crisis has been so bad this season that Marcelo Bielsa had given debuts to seven teenagers before the new year, one of which was Drameh.

The fullback may have got his first chance during a period where Jamie Shackleton and Luke Ayling were both injured but ever since arriving at the club from Fulham in the summer of 2020, Drameh has looked like one of the under 23 side most likely to earn a Premier League debut.

That debut came this season when he came off the bench against Norwich City, shortly after starting against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, before he was given his first start in the league in the home game against Arsenal when Leeds had 11 first team players missing.

According to Football Insider, he may have more opportunities to play regular football in the second half of the season, as Nottingham Forest are said to be in talks to take the defender on loan to the City Ground.

Forest are in need of cover for Djed Spence, whose short-term future is uncertain with Middlesbrough pondering a January recall.

Steve Cooper is familiar with Drameh from coaching him at England youth levels.
