Nottingham Forest hopeful shares two-word message - and fans will love it

“Learning everyday.”

That’s the message from Tyrese Fornah as the Nottingham Forest hopeful bids to kick on under the watchful eye of Sabri Lamouchi.

Fornah, 20, has continued to impress for Forest’s youth sides this season, playing regularly for the under-23s.

The rangy youngster, who plays in much the same style as Samba Sow sitting front of the back four, joined from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion last summer.

The strong central midfielder was a favourite of former Forest boss Martin O’Neill’s and may have been pushing for a place in the first team had the Northern Irishman not been sacked.

His task is now to impress Lamouchi and he shared an image standing alongside the manager at training, adding the caption: “learning everyday.”

Meanhwhile, West Bromwich Albion boss Slaven Bilic has had his say on the state of the runners and riders in the Championship.

The Baggies currently sit in third place, behind Leeds United and Swansea City, with two points separating Bilic's side from the summit of the table.

Forest are in fourth, level on 19 points with West Brom, while fifth-placed Fulham and Preston North End in sixth have 18 points to their name.

Ten games is often used as a benchmark when assessing how teams are expected to fare in a given campaign and Forest look right up for a promotion challenge in their first full season under Lamouchi with Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers ensuring they remain unbeaten since their opening-day defeat to West Brom.

And Bilic, whose West Brom side were unbeaten until Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat to Leeds, knows there are plenty of sides who will want to test their promotion credentials this season.

"There are more teams, it’s not only us and Leeds,” Bilic told BirminghamLive.

“Before the season, before the deadline, Leeds and Fulham were there on paper as favourites, but we came here with the size of the club and the performances we’ve had so far.

“Fortunately there are a lot more teams. It’s still early days but you can see that some teams are making a statement."
