Nottingham Forest hit with fine for failing to control players

Nottingham Forest have been fined £5,000 by the FA for failing to control their players during the recent 0-0 draw with Watford.

The charge relates to the reaction of the Forest players following a tackle by Watford's Nathaniel Chalobah on Harry Arter.

Chalobah was already on a yellow card, but referee David Webb declined to take further action.

Forest boss Chris Hughton felt Chalobah should have been dismissed.

“I don’t think you ever want to push to get players sent off, but it should have been,” said Hughton.

“It was a bad enough challenge. If it’s a lesser challenge than that and the referee is playing an advantage, then perhaps you can see it.

“But when it’s a poor challenge, particularly when he’s already on a yellow card, I can’t for the life of me understand why it wasn’t a second yellow.

“I still at this moment can’t understand it. Certainly, for me, yes, we should have been playing against 10 men.”
